Dla Mikołaja wyjątkowo ważne jest wypracowanie prawidłowego wzorca chodu, szczególnie ważne są ćwiczenia . Aby walka o sprawność była skuteczna, Mikołaj potrzebuje stałej rehabilitacji, zaopatrzenia w sprzęt ortopedyczny oraz bardzo kosztownych turnusów rehabilitacyjnych, które znacznie zwiększają szanse na postęp.
